Welcome to Year 4! 

We would like to welcome you to Year 4. 

For the Autumn term our topics will be: 

I am Warrior! - during this topic the children will explore the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. We will explore the lasting legacy of the Roman's on Britain today. 

Traders and Raiders - during this topic we will learn about the decline of the Roman Empire and the invasion of Anglo Saxons and Vikings. We will learn about the Dark Ages, exploring who the Anglo Saxons were, how they lived, and their settlements before moving on to the Viking raiders.

Monday - spelling test (both classes)

Monday - reading books changed

Tuesday - Year 4S PE day and 4R library

Wednesday - Year 4R PE day

Thursday - reading books changed 

Friday - PE (both classes), 4S library.

Maths homework this year is online. Children are expected to complete the tasks set on Mathletics each week and they should play at least 5 studio games on Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS) a week. 

It is important that your child brings their reading book and reading record into school every day as all children are heard read regularly in school.
