Year 1

Spring Term in Year 1

Our topic this  term is 'Let's Explore the World' which has a geography focus. Due to both spring terms only being five weeks long, this topic will run over both terms.

Our staff team this year is Mrs Macvie (class teacher) and teaching assistants Di, Molly and Olga 

Key Days and Events in Year 1 

Tuesday and Friday - Reading book changing. Please make sure you note down when your child has read. Ideally, they should be reading three times a week at home for a minimum of ten minutes. 

Monday - Library day. Please make sure your child brings their library book in on Fridays, so that they can be changed. Any of our brand new '90 books' must be returned in their protective bags.

Tuesday - Forest School - runs weekly. Please refer to letter sent out from Miss Hanson.

Thursday - PE day. Children should come into school in their PE kits. Dark leggings/shorts or joggers, white T-shirts and dark hoodies or the school purchased PE kit. Sensible trainers should be worn if we go outside for our activities.
