‘Aim High, Prepare to Achieve’

Latest News

Welcome to our school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so keep checking for new updates!

  • Fizz Pop Science

    Fri 14 Sep 2018

Fizz Pop Science treated pupils, staff and visitors to a special assemly this afternoon where the children learnt about explosions, chemical reactions and all things air related! One child even had the change to shoot people with pockets of air with an 'Airzooka'! Fizz Pop Science will be running an after-school club on Wednesdays this half term.

We look forward to a lot more exciting Science throughout the academic year.

  • Digital Newsletter

    Fri 12 Jan 2018

At Bishopton Primary School we consider ourselves both an economically and environmentally friendly institution and are constantly looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint. With this in mind, we are looking at the possibility of moving away from printed newsletters in favour of a digital format.

Our weekly newsletter would continue to be available every Wednesday on our Twitter account (@bishoptonprim), new Facebook page (Bishopton Primary School), our website (www.bishoptonprimary.co.uk) and would be emailed to individuals who provide us with their email address. In addition, a small number of paper copies would be available at the school entrance foyer for those who would prefer a paper copy or those without internet access.

By moving to a digital format, this would help to reduce paper and ink use as well as minimising household waste. Furthermore, the school would benefit from reduced costs that could be better spent on the education of pupils.

We would be interested to hear your views on our proposal and would be grateful if you would complete the following online questionnaire. A paper copy can also be found in the school entrance foyer and links to the form can be found on our Twitter page and website.

    Thu 21 Dec 2017

Following recent OFSTED inspection, Bishopton are proud to announce that they remain a good school. Inspectors were very impressed with the standard of care, teaching and behaviour within the school as well as the overwhelmingly positive comments from parents and pupils. We would like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to all pupils and parents for the excellent contribution they made to this overwhelmingly positive report. You can read the full report on the OFSTED section of this website.
