Bishopton Primary School
‘Aim High, Prepare to Achieve’
Welcome to Bishopton Primary School
A very warm welcome to Bishopton Primary School. As Headteacher, I am delighted to welcome you to our school community and look forward to building a positive and successful partnership with you and your family in the years ahead.
At Bishopton, we are committed to creating a caring, inclusive and ambitious environment where every child is encouraged to Aim High, Prepare to Achieve. Our school motto reflects our belief that all children can succeed when they feel valued, respected and inspired to do their very best. We work hard to foster a culture where children are happy, healthy, safe and confident, enabling them to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
Our website offers a glimpse into life at Bishopton Primary School, while also providing useful information for parents, carers and pupils. We regularly update the site with news, celebrations and important information, so we encourage you to visit often and share in the many exciting experiences and achievements of our school community.
We are proud to provide rich, stimulating and accessible learning opportunities for every child. Through a broad and ambitious curriculum, we nurture curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. We believe education should be engaging, challenging and rewarding, enabling children to develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to succeed both now and in the future. Our commitment to high expectations, inclusion and personal development ensures that every child is supported to reach their full potential.
At Bishopton, we recognise that children thrive when their wellbeing is prioritised. Alongside high-quality teaching and learning, we are proud to offer our new Nurture Provision, designed to provide additional support for children who may benefit from extra guidance with their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. This provision reflects our commitment to ensuring that every child feels understood, valued and ready to learn.

We are also delighted to have Loki, our therapy dog in training, as part of the Bishopton family. Loki plays an important role in promoting wellbeing and supporting children to feel calm, confident and connected. Whether helping children develop their reading confidence, providing reassurance during challenging moments or simply bringing joy to the school day, Loki contributes to the warm and nurturing atmosphere that is so important to our school community.
Our dedicated and talented staff team brings a wealth of expertise, enthusiasm and care to every aspect of school life. Supported by modern facilities, the latest technologies and extensive outdoor spaces, including our large sports field, Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and our Forest School provision, we offer children a wealth of opportunities to learn, explore and grow both inside and beyond the classroom.
We firmly believe that the most successful educational experiences are built on strong partnerships between home and school. We greatly value the trust and support of our families and work closely together to ensure that every child feels encouraged, challenged and celebrated throughout their primary school journey.
We are immensely proud of our school and warmly welcome visitors to see Bishopton in action. If you are considering Bishopton Primary School for your child and would like to experience first-hand the caring, vibrant and purposeful environment we provide, please contact the school office to arrange a visit. I would be delighted to show you around and share what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.
I hope you find our website informative, helpful and reflective of all that Bishopton Primary School has to offer. Above all, I hope it captures the warmth, ambition and strong sense of belonging that define our school. Bishopton is a place where children are encouraged to dream big, embrace challenges, celebrate success and develop into confident, compassionate young people who are ready for the future. We are proud of our school, proud of our pupils and proud of the vibrant community we have built together, and we look forward to welcoming you to it.
