Blended Learning

Welcome to our Year 3 Class home learning page.

Dear Parent / Carer,

If you are reading this, we assume that either you or a member of your family is self-isolating, shielding or has tested positive or is awaiting COVID-19 test results. We hope that you are all managing and are not finding everything too challenging. The wellbeing of the Bishopton community is, as always, our first priority.

Here you will find links to your home learning tasks.  We will be uploading work on a weekly basis and you will be able to access it from 9am every Monday.

If you or your child becomes unwell during this period, please email the school office and let us know as we do not expect children to complete remote learning tasks if they are sick or if you are unable to support them. We do understand that this time will be challenging for us all.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REMOTE LEARNING CONTAINED HERE IS INTENDED TO BE ACCESSED WHERE ABSENCE IS DUE TO COVID-19 SYMPTOMS OR ISOLATION. IF YOU ARE UNWELL FOR ANY OTHER REASON, PLEASE DO NOT UNDERTAKE THESE ACTIVITIES AND FOCUS YOUR ENERGY ON GETTING YOURSELF WELL AGAIN BEFORE RETURNING TO SCHOOL.

Please support your child with their home learning. We would like you to take photos of your child enjoying their learning and send them to us over the course of the 5 days, for example, a piece of Maths or English using our year group email accounts so that we can see what you have been doing. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via the class email account as follows:

Year3DiamondsBTP@welearn365.com – Miss Allard

Year3StarsBTP@welearn365.com – Miss Stepien

This planning is for 5 days and follows topics being taught in school

We expect all children to read for a minimum of 20 minutes three times a week and to practise their weekly spellings and handwriting.

For our maths, we follow the Power Maths scheme of learning and your child will be allocated the appropriate lessons and workbook pages.  Alongside this, children have access to Numbots and Times Tables Rock Stars, online maths apps, where children can reinforce their number bond and table knowledge which are the essential building blocks for maths.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting us on our class emails.

Kind regards,

Miss Allard and Miss Stepien
